On December 21, "Le barbier de Séville" by Gioacchino Rossini will celebrate its premiere at the Oper am Rhein. The venue is the Theater Duisburg.

Who doesn't know the story of the cheerful barber Figaro, who is supposed to help Count Almaviva win over the beautiful Rosina, who is jealously observed by her legal guardian Bartolo? Director Maurice Lenhard stages the opera as an opulent and over-the-edge spectacle. The musical director is Antonino Fogliani.

Kimberley Boettger-Soller can be seen in the role of Rosina; Jake Muffett takes on the part of Figaro. César Cortés appears as Count Almaviva, Giulio Mastrototaro as Bartolo. The premiere is on December 21 at 7.30 pm.
