The World Equestrian Festival, CHIO Aachen, takes place from July 13th to 22nd. Once again the top equestrian athletes in the world meet up to contest against each other.
The „Concours Hippique International Officiel“ (CHIO) dates back to the year 1924. If follows the rules of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI). During CHIO the disciplines jumping, dressage, eventing, driving and vaulting are held in different stadiums.
On Friday 13th there is a show programme with live music in Deutsche Bank Stadium: “Horse & Symphony”. On Sunday, July 22nd the highlight, the Grand Prix of Aachen, takes place in the Main Stadium in Soers. The jumping Competition with two rounds and jump-off is part of the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping.
